Ryan Coughlin: SS/RHP, (2022) Lutheran Westland, MI. 5-foot-9, 165-pound athletic frame. Athletic during batting practice, Coughlin recorded an exit velocity of 90 mph. Begins in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then uses a toe tap. Bat speed is explosive, shows a flat swing plane and level finish. Found some barrels with some loud contact . Pull side approach. Athletic while in the infield, made throws up to 78 mph; had smooth footwork, a clean exchange, and soft hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the base. Athletic on the mound, had a ¾ arm angle and a quick arm action with quick arm speed. Tilt-and-topple type pitcher and shows some effort. Displays downhill shoulders with a low balance point. Lands square with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 73-75 mph with a max of 79 mph; showed running action and consistent control with tight movement. His flat curveball (69-71) showed lack of action and up in the zone control. Shows up in the zone control and lack of action on his straight changeup .
