10/30/16 - Lackey is a 6-foot 185-pound right-handed hitting catcher from Missouri’s 2017 class, recently committed to Concordia (IL).  He ran a 7.88 60 and 4.69 home-to-first.  He has an 85 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced stance, no wasted movement in load, closed stride, swing produced middle to opposite field line drives during batting practice.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.09 and 2.33-seconds, 71 mph positional velo, over the top release, efficient exchange keeping hands high, moves well on blocks, fluid footwork, mostly accurate throws, flashing carry.
6/28/16 - 6-foot, 185-pound catcher. Offensively, right-handed hitter, balanced setup, short stride, maintains balance throughout swing. Level bat path, pull side approach; exit velocity registered at 85 mph. Defensively, handled low pitches with ease, high ¾ slot, short, quick release, recorded pop times between 2.19-2.26. Clocked at 70 mph from the crouch. Also, ran a 7.87 laser timed 60.

2/20/16 - Lackey is a 5-foot-11 185-pound right-handed hitting catcher in Missouri’s 2017 class from Eureka HS. Lackey ran a 5.06 home-to-first and has an exit velo of 83 mph. At the plate, starts in athletic stance, feet slightly close, no wasted movement in load, level path though contact, gap-to-gap approach.  Behind the plate, 2.12 to 2.28 pop times, 70 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, clean transfer, athletic footwork.
