7/18/18

5-foot-7, 155-pound left-handed hitting outfielder, showed an above average ability to get off the ball in centerfield and run it down.  Ran a 4.26 down the line on his dig to first base at the workout. It is imperative he continue to develop his short game, as his foot speed is a tool he can take advantage of. The approach in the outfield is appropriate and aggressive. Threw 81 mph from the outfield. The ability to play all 3 spots in the outfield is obvious. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 82 mph, as physical strength gains are warranted. The setup is open in base, front foot closes down as the ball approaches. The path is simple and flat to the ball, uses a 1-handed finish after contact. Needs to stay on the ball during live action, pulls off and loses bat too often. Solid prospect with a good skill set.

2017 FUTURE GAMES
5-foot-7 150-pound left-handed hitting outfielder from New Hampshire. The skill set is solid and he needs to continue to get physically stronger to help aid his development. Ran a 7.1 sixty at the event. Threw 72 mph from the outfield, as he needs to get a long toss program this winter. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 81 mph, which has to improve as he matures. Sets up wide with his feet, front foot slightly open to start, high back elbow.  Closes down the front foot as the ball approaches. The bat is flat to the ball, guided at times as he needs to be more aggressive. Uses a 1-handed approach to his finish.  Strength and speed development are key to his game and potential.

6.28.2017

5-foot-7, 150-pound left-handed hitting outfielder. Tremendous showing for this relatively unknown player. Ran a 4.25 down the line on his dig to first base. Is a centerfielder and gets off the ball well, routes to the ball are appropriate. Threw 75 mph from the outfield at the defensive portion of the workout.  At the plate, showed a flat path to the ball, stayed on the ball and served it around. Short game is part of his arsenal as that will have to continue to improve as he ages. The feet start slightly open and he closes down as the ball approaches. Uses his hands to maneuver the barrel during the swing. Tee exit velocity of 80 mph at the workout, as he can continue to get physically stronger.
