Cole Yennaco: C/RHP, (2023) Pinkerton Academy, NH. 5-foot-9, 180-pound mature athletic frame. Projectable during batting practice, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 91 mph. (72.81 mph bat speed average). (22.14 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced wide stance with a small load, then used a short stride. Had above average bat speed, uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found some barrels with loud contact. Aggressive approach. Behind the plate, his strong arm produced efficient throws to second at velocities up to 81 mph; had consistent quick footwork, sure developing hands, and a clean transfer. showed his ability to throw runners out with an efficient pop time of 1.89-1.97. Clean setup. Had a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the bag. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.25. Above average projectable on the mound, used a short arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing above average arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher and uses some effort. Showed consistent balance point and falling off shoulders. Lands open with a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 85-86 mph; has arm side command and slight running action. (Max spin 2074; Avg 2049). Has glove side command and sweeping action on his curveball (70-72). (Max spin 2055; Avg 2005). Has arm side command and fading action on his changeup (79-80).

Hit: (RHH) Projectable. Began in a balanced wide stance with a small load, then used a short stride. Above average bat speed. Good extension on his finish, uphill loose swing. Aggressive approach. 

Power: 91 mph exit velocity, average 83.22 mph. 72.81 mph bat speed average. 22.14 mph hand speed average.

Defense: (C) 1.89-1.97 pop times. Sure developing hands, consistent quick footwork, clean exchange. Above average. Clean setup. 

Arm: 81 mph catcher velocity. Loose arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy. 

Speed: 7.25 (60-yard).

Pitching: Above average projectable. Up-tempo delivery, some effort. High ¾ arm angle, above average arm speed, short arm action. Consistent balance point, falling off shoulders, lands open, a falling off finish.

5-foot-9, 180-pound right-handed hitting catcher and right-handed pitcher. He ran a 7.5 sixty at the event. The skill set behind the dish is solid as he handles the glove and has a good feel for what he is doing. He threw 78 mph down to second base with a pop time of 2.02. The bat has an exit velocity of 90 mph, as the hands are strong. The setup is even in base and the front foot is open to start. The front foot steps into the swing as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path is flat and long, he cuts off the finish after contact with the ball. On the mound, the fastball sat 81-83 mph with arm side run to it. The breaking ball was 66-67 mph and big in shape. The changeup was 73-74 mph, showing minimal fade and action to it. The delivery is online out of the stretch and above 3/4 in height. The lift is repeated, has back arch and poor direction to the plate. The hand speed on the secondary pitches needs to stay the same as his fastball.  Solid skill set, as I like him as a positional player.
