Jake Sullivan: LHP/OF, (2022) St. Paul's School, NH. 6-foot, 170-pound athletic frame. Athletic in the box, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 91 mph. Starts in a balanced stance with a smooth load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed was above average, showed an uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Barreled up lots of balls with loud contact. Aggressive approach. Athletic recorded an outfield position velocity of 81 mph; shows athletic feet, sure hands, and a clean exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Showed consistent accuracy to the bag with a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. Above average on the mound, had a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with quick arm speed. Feel type pitcher and showed an easy effort. Displays in line shoulders and an athletic balance point. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 82-83 mph; showed running action and command in the zone with heavy movement. Has in the zone control and sinking action on his sharp changeup (75-77). Throws a sharp slider (73-74) that has swing and miss action and in the zone command.

Power: 91 mph exit velocity. 

Defense:  (OF) Sure hands, athletic footwork, clean exchange. Athletic.  Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. 

Arm: 81 mph outfield velocity. Loose arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy. 

Pitching: Above average. Feel delivery, easy effort. High ¾ arm angle, quick arm speed, loose arm action. Athletic balance point, in line shoulders, lands closed, an athletic finish.

FB: T83. 82-83 mph. In the zone accuracy, running action, heavy movement. 

CH: 75-77 mph. In the zone control, sinking action, sharp movement. 

SL: 73-74 mph. In the zone control, swing and miss action, sharp movement. 

Future Games 

6-foot,160-pound left-handed pitcher and right-handed hitting outfielder. Positionally, he ran a 6.96 sixty at the event. The approach in the outfield is athletic and online. He moves well and showed the ability to get solid jumps on balls in game play. He threw 80 mph during the outfield portion of the workout. The bat has an exit velocity of 95 mph. The setup is even in base and he uses a pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The finish is high and at times he cuts off the finish. He swung the bat very well in game play, homering and have a couple other base knocks. On the mound, the fastball sat 80-81 mph with arm side run to it. The breaking ball is big in shape, needs more fastball hand speed to it. The pitch is 66-67 mph. The also showed a small slider at 69 mph, which has a chance to be a very good pitch. The changeup sat 73-76 mph, wide in spin but effective. The delivery is online and above 3/4 in height. The tempo is excellent and he stays with his arm throughout. The command is solid and he competes. He is a good looking player, I really like him on the bump as he has feel for what he is doing.
