Kyle Slate: C/OF, (2021) Merrimack, NH. 5-foot-11, 155-pound slim frame. Solid at the plate, Slate's best exit velocity was 88 mph. Began in a wide stance with a small load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed is average, has a long swing plane and good extension on his finish. Through his round he found some barrels with loud contact. Line drive approach. Laterally, his movements were athletic. While catching, his best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 76 mph; showed soft hands, athletic feet, and a quick exchange. Displayed his ability to control the run game with a pop time of 1.90-2.09. Average flexibility and clean setup. Used a short arm action and a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the bag.

Body: 5-foot-11, 155-pound slim frame.

Hit: (RHH) Started in a wide stance with a small load, then used a controlled stride. Average bat speed. Good extension on his finish, long swing. Line drive approach. 

Power: 88 mph exit velocity, average 76.75 mph. 66.39 mph bat speed average. 18.58 mph hand speed average.

Defense: (C) 1.90-2.09 pop times. Soft hands, athletic footwork, quick exchange. Above average. Clean setup with average flexibility.  Laterally, his movements were athletic. 

Arm: 76 mph catcher velocity. Short arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy.

5-foot-8, 140-pound right-handed hitting catcher. Showed solid foot speed at the event. The skill set behind the dish is developing. He threw 66 mph down to second base with a pop time of 2.5. The receiving is a work in progress. The addition of physical strength will aid his game immensely. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 79 mph. The setup is athletic, front foot gains ground to the ball as the swing is produced. The path is flat and long through contact with the ball. Showed the ability to make solid contact.

Catching Velocity- 66 mph
