An eighth grader who showed good for himself at the event. Receiving needs to continue to improve as he was catching guys, he probably has never caught before and he held his own very well. Showed arm strength and good feet for his age. The throwing needs to be more downhill and the feet need better direction when throwing, but maturation should help with that. Threw 64 mph from behind the dish and had a 2.18 pop time. At the plate, had a tee exit velocity of 71 mph. Sets up slightly wider than shoulder width, with a low hand approach. The bat has life to it as he can maneuver the barrel well. The front foot is picked up high and then put back down in a spread out contact approach. I think the bat is going to be good, his hands are fast.
