Hit: RHH. Tall/upright setup. Smooth weight transfer, hands create pre-pitch rhythm. Backside extension, stays inside the ball. 67.8 mph bat speed with 19 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 91 max exit velocity, averaged 79.2 mph. 347' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-67 mph. Compact, high 3/4.
Defense: Smooth laterally.
ATH: 8.55 runner in the 60. 1.94 and 4.57 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.
Bulger has a strong and physical build at 6-foot, 225-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 8.80 seconds, top exit velocity of 91 MPH. Starts in a wide and balanced stance at the plate, strong base. Hands are up higher, have a slight movement downward while creating some rhythm pre-pitch. Normal leg kick, stays on time. Strong through the zone, keeps his hands inside the ball. Mature round, consistently solid contact through the middle of the field. In the infield, worked well laterally with sound footwork and efficient turns. Top velocity of 72 MPH on throws to bases. On the mound, Bulger starts with his feet together slightly angled on the first base side of the rubber. Slow and gradual windup, stays in control. Slightly uphill shoulder tilt. In the stretch, starts even with his back leg preset. Clean arm action, shorter arm swing at the top. FB sat in the 76-78 MPH. Showed off a slider with true shape, horizontal action with sweep at 70-71 MPH. Also had a CH with late depth at 69-70 MPH.
6-foot, 200-pound, larger, thick athletic frame. A bigger body, stronger lower half. A right-handed pitcher, worked out at 1st base as well. Off the mound, starts from more of a hybrid position, higher, loaded leg kick with coil. The stride is inline, out front on release, with extension, with a higher back leg finish. The arm works from a natural 3/4 slot, small jab and recoil after release. The fastball was clocked at 74 mph, located down with ride to arm side. Showed a plus changeup for his age, works off fastball well. Mixed in a breaking ball at 65 mph, proper spin and depth to it. At the plate, shows good bat speed at 87 mph, baseball comes off well. A wider setup, slightly open, hands are short to the ball with a level path, middle to pull side approach. Showed a soft glove at 1st, arm was clocked at 68 mph. Love the feel off the mound, arm works look for a jump in velocity, will need to get in bette shape.
