DeJohn has a lanky, athletic frame at 6-foot-2 160-pounds with room to fill out as he continues to add muscle. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.23-seconds and recorded an exit velocity of 91 mph. At the plate, starts in a tall, opened stance with hands in-line with back shoulder and bat pointed perpendicular to the ground. Uses a small weight transfer and foot stride to start swing, and hands move up and back with fluidity. Flat barrel path with some extension through the zone. In the infield, took reps at shortstop. Recorded 76 mph with throws across the infield with some carry. Easy, athletic movements with some bounce to his step . Smooth, quick exchange and high-3/4 slot. Compact arm action. Actions play up. On the mound, Fastball topped at 80 mph and sat mostly 77-79. Flashed a curveball at 58-61 and a changeup at 70-72. Uptempo, but under control delivery into an athletic balance position. Uphill shoulders going down the mound and lands square to homeplate. Will continue to add velocity as he fills out. Overall projectable two-way player with a lot to like.
