He Barreled up multiple balls with a lot of loud contact. Line drive approach. Hutchins 91 mph exit velocity showed his ability to drive the ball with power. In the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 78 mph; had soft hands, athletic consistent footwork and a quick exchange. Used a compact arm action with a high ¾ slot. On the mound, used a short arm action with a high ¾ arm angle while showing quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. Has even shoulder with athletic balance point. Lands square with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 77-78 mph; has arm side control and tailing action. He showed glove side control and tight action on his 1/7 slider (69-71).
