9/19/20 – The 5-foot-11, 190 pound right-handed pitcher was solid in his performance on Saturday as he stuck out a trio of hitters in his simulated inning. His mechanics were much cleaner as he picked up his tempo some, repeated his mechanics better, and found a more consistent arm slot without jerking his head towards the first base side as much. He pitched with a fastball that sat between 76 and 80 miles-per-hour. His curveball showed 12-to-6 shape and was 62-66 MPH. His changeup had effective arm side run at 73-74 MPH. He effectively mixed three pitches in the zone and hitters could not comfortably dig in.

7/16/15 – Alwis is a stocky 5-foot-11, 190 pounds. He pitches with basic mechanics and a normal tempo down the slope. He lacks any type of rhythmic piece with his hands that would allow for a repeated hand break so he struggled some to command the ball down. He pitches from a high ¾ arm slot and has some angle on his fastball when he gets over his front knee and on top of the baseball. His fastball ranged between 76 and 80 miles-per-hour. He also featured a big breaking 12/6 curveball at 62-65 MPH. His best offering at the event was his straight change that was deceptive due to a consistent arm slot and arm speed. This pitch was 70-73 miles-per-hour.
