Lovaglio possesses a strong and compact frame, standing at 5-foot-10, 170-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.45 seconds, top exit velocity of 92 MPH. Tall and narrow stance at the plate. Gets some serious bend in his load, coiling into that back hip. Hands start low, move back and slightly up in his load. Strong actions, hands also stay inside the ball. Lot of loud contact throughout his round. Behind the plate, Lovaglio recorded pop times ranging from 2.39-2.56 seconds, top velocity of 68 MPH on throws to bases. Keeps his frontside elevated on throws. Short AA.
Physical- Lean, compact 5-foot-9, 170lbs frame. 7.34 runner in the 60.
Offensively- Starts in an athletic stance with an even base, hands above his shoulders. Uses a small stride while loading his hands down and back to get into his swing. Pulls the hands in and drives them through the zone, tilting the chest up and swinging on an uphill plane. Good extension through contact, max exit velo of 91 MPH.
Defensively- Traditional catcher’s setup with weight on his toes, quick out of the crouch driving off his back leg. Gains momentum towards his target out of the crouch with a quick transfer to the glove hand. 2.12-2.26 pop time with a 71 MPH arm from behind the dish.
