3/01/20

5-foot-11, 175-pound lean frame. Athletic on the mound, he used a loose arm action and a high angle. He is a tall-and-fall type pitcher.. Balance point is a tall during delivery. Has an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 81-82 mph with late armside life. Breaking ball showed smaller 1/7 break for strikes at 67-69. Changeup had some armside fade at 69-72. Clean, athletic arm action with a lot to like from Young.

7/24/19

Young has a 5-foot-11, 175-pound lanky frame. On the mound, shows quick arm speed he had a high arm angle with a long arm action. He is a tall-and-fall type pitcher. His fastball came in at 81-82 mph; with a max of 82 mph;  which shows slight action and consistent accuracy. His 69-71 mph curveball had depth when he located it low in the zone; threw a sinking curveball that showed consistent accuracy. Young stood out with his swing-and-miss breaking ball and pitchability with his fastball. Worked in and out with ease. One of the top overall performers on the mound during the event.
