Dutton has a lanky-athletic build at 5-foot-11 160-pounds. Fastball topped at 82 MPH and sat mostly 79-81 during his sequence at the event. Mixed in a breaking ball with sharp two-plane depth at 62-64 and a changeup with armside run at 72-73 MPH. Tall, athletic balance point with uphill shoulders as he descends down the mound. Long, loose arm action with some quickness to it – indicating more velocity to come as he gets stronger. High-3/4 slot. Lands straight to homeplate but will spin off to third base side on finish. A lot to like about this prospect on the mound.
