9/20/15 -- Stec has an XL build and present strength at 6-foot-5, 240 pounds. The right-handed hitter has strength in his swing as he hits balls hard to his pull side. His bat path is short and compact for his size but lacks true bat speed. This could be picked up as he learns to engage his lower half. He does a good job with his foot work and with the glove at first base. He delivers online throws from a slinger's arm action. He pitches with good over-head rhythm to start his delivery. He keeps compact at leg lift and has solid direction toward his target. He has a long arm action and pitches from a low to mid 3/4 arm slot. His fastball has sink at 78-81 miles-per-hour and his changeup mimics his fastball with good arm side fade. His breaking ball was slurve in action at 70-71. With progression, Stec could be a very solid pitching prospect.
