NJ State Games 7/24/18
Fairfield University recruit. Erbeck has a strong and physical frame at 6-foot-2, 205-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.03 seconds. Recorded an exit velo of 94 MPH. Offensively, starts in a balanced stance with his feet wide and even. Hands begin just above shoulder height and stay locked in position. Creates pre-swing rhythm. Utilizes a toe tap as a timing mechanism. Aggressive lower half. Displayed pull side power. Took defensive reps at first base and recorded a positional velo of 75 MPH. Smooth actions to the baseball. Transfers the ball where he fields it, away from his body. On the mound, starts with his feet together on the third base side of the rubber. Long, loose arm action and releases the ball from a true 3/4 arm slot. Keeps rhythm and tempo. Even shoulder as he descends the mound. Rides his backside efficiently. Fastball sat 81-83 MPH and touched 84 MPH. Significant arm side run on his 2-seam FB. Curveball showed 11/5 shape at 70-71 MPH. Changeup had run and fade in the zone at 72-73 MPH. 

Preseason All-State Showcase (February 11th, 2017)
Erbeck has a tall, athletic frame at 6-foot-2 195-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.59. Offensively- Exit Velocity topped at 91 mph. Starts in a tall, balanced stance with hands high above his back shoulder with bat wrapped around head slightly. Gets swing started with a big leg lift and stride. Hand load is minimal. Aggressive hips and arms produce some power to swing. Creates lift on finish. Defensively- plays through throws that topped at 83 mph from the OF. High front side leads to a high-3/4 arm slot. Shorter arm action. Pitching- Fastball topped at 81. Sat 80-81 throughout outing. Showcased a breaking ball at 71-72 mph with small 12/6 break for strikes. Drop and drive type pitcher. Dips front shoulder on in balance point and coils up with upper body. Creates hip lead going down the mound into uphill shoulder leverage upon foot-strike. Loose arm action with some life from a high-3/4 slot.
