9/20/15 -- Steindl had a very nice outing, proving again to be very pitchable. He has steady tempo and solid direction with good glove side expansion which allows for extension. He has a long, clean arm action from a 3/4 slot. His velocity was 77-80 miles-per-hour with arm side run. His breaking ball has shape but lacks velocity at 61-63. His changeup is a very solid secondary offering, 10 to 12 miles-per-hour off fastball pace.

6/13 -- Steindl has a slender build and is about 6-foot tall. He shows easy, repeatable mechanics with a smooth hip lead leg lift. Repeats solid direction, only coming off occasional to his glove side on off-speed pitches. His fastball command is further along than his off-speed pitches right now because of the directional issue but he seems athletic enough to fix it. His fastball ranged from 78-81 miles-per-hour with tailing life. He also flashed average spin on a 66 MPH curveball when he stays on top of the pitch. At this point, his best secondary offering is a changeup with run and fade at 70-72 MPH. He did show a solid pickoff move to first base, which could potentially be a weapon as he learns to mix his set time and looks.
