2020 Lenape grad Joey Anastasio has a slender, athletic build standing at 5-6”, 135. The two-way pitcher/outfielder ran a 7.4 60-yard-dash and recorded and OF velocity of 76 MPH. Defensively, he showed smooth footwork to the baseball. Off of the bump, his fastball was 73-75 with sink. Curveball was 64-65 with solid 12/6 break. Changeup was 69-70MPH to the glove side with cut. Gets to an athletic balance point with uphill shoulders going down the mound. At the plate, he showed a quiet stance and ability to hit to all fields. Utilizes a toe-tap for timing. Hands stay quiet until he gets to his load position. Keeps hands inside baseball for consistent barrels. Recorded a 79MPH exit Velo as well.
