Winter Trials North (December 6, 2015)

Castellanos is 5-foot-10, 165 pounds; strong and athletic. The middle infield prospect is exciting to watch; has game changing ability. He hits from the right side with an open stance and high back elbow. He strides back to even and creates a ton of bat speed from a solid launch position. He has premium bat speed, proven by his 92 MPH exit velocity. Defensively, he has excellent foot work and foot speed; has a ton of range to his glove side. He has a quick release and the ball jumps out of his hand with explosiveness. Definite SS prospect now who could solidify that by increasing raw speed. May be a 3B if he adds size.
