Hascup has a strong and athletic build at 5-foot-11, 175-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.58 seconds, top exit velocity recorded at 85 MPH. Offensively, sets up in a wider and athletic stance with his weight shifted onto his backside. Back hip is coiled and elbow stays parallel to the ground. Minimal stride, inverts the front foot. Simple, compact stroke, no unnecessary movements. In the infield, Hascup was patient, ensured he took quality angles. Used a glove tap pre-throw. Top velocity of 75 MPH on throws across the diamond. On the mound, he pitched exclusively from the stretch. Feet are closed and back leg is preset. Moves his hands in sync with his leg kick. Shoulders stay in line down the mound. Rotational upper half. FB tossed in for strikes at 78-80 MPH. CB was a sweeper with occasional late horizontal bite at 69-70 MPH. CH was thrown with intent, had some sink and run at 75-76 MPH.
