Hager has a wiry and athletic frame at 6-foot, 170-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.06 seconds with an exit velo of 88 MPH. Tall stance with weight slightly shifted onto his backside. Hands are loose with a down and backwards movement during his load. Creates extension in his back leg. Middle-away approach at the plate. High finish. Top velo of 86 MPH on throws in the infield. Works around the ball, gets short and choppy with his steps. Funnels the ball in, gathers with a glove tap and a shuffle.
5-fot-11, 172lb lean frame; 7.06 runner in the 60 yard dash. At the plate, Hager maintains a slightly open front side with weight shifted on the back leg. Uses a small leg lift and stride forward paired with hands that work down and back during the load. Uses an uphill swing through a deep turn on the back side and shoulders. Lifts the ball to all parts of the field, but lifts with power to the pull side. Registered an 86 MPH max exit velo. In the infield, Hager takes small prep steps into the pitch and moves well laterally. Moves on the outside of the ball to get in a good direction toward the target. Fields out in front with a soft glove and transfers smoothly to the throw from a 3/4 slot. Posted an 87 MPH infield velo in his session.
