Richards has a lean, athletic 6-foot-1 175-pound build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.26-seconds and recorded an exit velocity of 79 MPH. Offensively – starts in a wide stance and in a crouch with hands above back shoulder and hands close to ear/head. Moves hands back for a load as pitch comes in. Front foot and leg do not move. Uses torque in hips to create some pop. Line drive hitter with potential gap to gap power. Defensively – showed well behind the plate with soft hands and a knack for receiving plus velocity with ease. Pop times recorded between 2.15-2.26. Throws topped at 79 MPH down to 2B. Throws were on the bag with backspin and carry. Explosive out of the crouch with a slightly hitch in glove exchange.
