Kim has a strong and athletic frame at 5-foot-11, 175-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.68 seconds with a top exit velocity of 87 MPH. Tall and balanced stance with some bend to the knees. Hands start lower and create pre-pitch rhythm. Slow, hanging leg kick. Uphill tilt in the swing, consistently finds the barrel. Switch hitter, similar approach from both sides, slightly open from the left side. In the infield, stays low through the ball, works well laterally with his footwork. Uses a glove tap before making throws, top positional velo of 82 MPH. On the mound, Kim sets up tall on the first base side of the rubber. Fluid mechanics, keeps the hands locked by his midsection. Even shoulder tilt, lower frontside. Long arm action, arm slot is nearly over-the-top. FB showed some occasional run at 80-81 MPH. CB had more up-down shape at 68-69 MPH. CH with some depth at 67-68 MPH, and even mixed in a SL with more lateral break at 71-73 MPH.
