2/06/21

Physical- Long, strong 6-foot-1, 185lbs frame. 7.46 runner in the 60.

Offensively- Tall stance with some slight bend in the knees and his hands behind his head. Uses a quick, high, lift and replace stride for timing. Hands are static through the load and fire on time with his foot plant. Slightly uphill bat path producing some hard hit balls in the air. 90 MPH max exit velo.

Defensively- Starts with his glove foot forward in an athletic position, attacks the ball aggressively out in front and fields the ball outside his glove foot. Shows fluidity in the movement with clear control of his body on approach, gets rid of the ball quickly using a moderate arm stroke and a high ¾ arm slot. 82 MPH arm strength from the OF.

1/12/20

Mason has a 6-foot, 170-pound, lean frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 77 mph. From the outfield, he showed the ability to throw at velocities up to 82 mph; has soft hands and smooth footwork. Showed a high ¾ slot with long arm action.
