Lean and athletic build at 5-foot-9, 170-pounds for Rivera. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.07 seconds while recording a top exit velocity of 87 MPH. Offensively, has an even and balanced stance, some bend in the knees. Quick leg kick, stays on time. Hands move down and back during his load, while dropping the back elbow trying to get the barrel on plane early. Line drive swing with some glimpses of gap-to-gap pop. In the infield, short and choppy in his approach, stays controlled. Uses a shuffle before making throws, where he topped at 91 MPH. On the mound Rivera works from a modified stretch on the first base side of the rubber. Gradual start to his delivery with an aggressive finish. Both halves work in sync, loads the backside early. Loose arm action, higher ¾ slot. FB showed some later run in the zone at 83-85 MPH. CB had more horizontal sweeping action at 74-76 MPH. Displayed a CH with fade at 75-78 MPH.
