Gibney has a lanky, athletic build. Fastball topped at 84 mph, sat mostly 80-82. Showcased a curveball at 64-66 with some 11/5 depth and a changeup with armside fade at 72-74. High-3/4 slot with a long arm action. High front side as he goes down the mound helps him create uphill shoulder leverage on first foot-strike. Tall/fall type pitcher in balance point. Landing is straight and in line with homeplate. Front knee bows out on extension and pitch release, causing weight to be mostly on the side of landing foot - and an occasional spin off toward the first base side.
