Mule

Miami commit. Lean, athletic 6-foot-2 195-pound frame with loose, wiry limbs and room to fill out. Explosive athlete, loose, whippy arm and true-3/4 slot. Mule's fastball sat comfortably at 92-95 touching 95 a couple times. Flashed a cutter with smaller, later horizontal break at 78-82 and a slurvy breaker at 80-81. Looked to mess around with a curveball in warmups, trying to get more on top and altering the arm slot a touch. Fastball had some zip to it, although was mostly pitching backwards throughout his 3 innings of work. Showed ability to pitch versus just 'throw' on this day. Worked into and out of trouble a couple of different times. Punched out 5 in 3 innings, surrendering 3 hits and walking three.
