Strong, athletic build at 5-foot-11, 175- pounds. Shows a strong lower half that generates power to the ball. Had an exit velocity of 88 MPH. Small load with quick hands that created a solid follow through and good lift to the ball. Stepped in direction to ball with an athletic complete swing. Defensively, he recorded 2.03- 2.1 second pop times as a catcher. Along with that he exhibited a 72 MPH velocity down to second base. During the 60 yard dash Diaz showed average speed running a 7.07 second dash.
