Moroney has an uber athletic frame at 5-foot-10, 175-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 6.84 seconds, top exit velocity of 88 MPH. Tall and open at the plate to start. Coils into his back hip, maintains balance in his lower half. Creates pre-pitch rhythm. Advanced bat-to-ball skills, ability to turn the barrel with quick hands. Starts with a big load on the backside and uses a leg kick and gets the front foot down early. Swings uphill through a big turn on his back side that allows the shoulders to rotate through the zone. Lifted the ball easily with consistency and power, posted a 90 MPH max exit velo. In the infield, Moroney uses an athletic lower half to get around the ball and work through it as he is fielding.
