His fastball was clocked at 77 mph; and topped out at 77 mph, Fastball had armside action. His curveball (68 mph) worked best when he spotted up low in the zone; sweeping 10/4 curveball.

Conover has a lanky and athletic build at 6-foot, 160-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 8.45 seconds and recorded an exit velo of 81 MPH. Starts with his feet open in a relaxed stance at the dish. Hands move directly backwards during his load, with a slight bat wrap. Uses a toe tap to stay on time. Hands stay inside the ball, created contact to all fields. Took defensive reps in the infield, with his positional velo being 75 MPH. Athletic movements to the ball. Makes his transfer at midsection height away from his body. On the mound, starts on the left side of the rubber with his feet angled towards the third base line. Threw with rhythm and tempo. Switched between a high 3/4 arm slot and side arm. Showed ability to throw multiple pitches for strikes from both arm slots. FB sat between 73-76 MPH and showed some arm side run from the sidearm slot. CB was a big breaker at 66-67 MPH. CH showed run and sink, especially from sidearm. CH was 70-71 MPH.
