Maryland recruit. One of the state’s top pitchers. Say 86-88 touching 89. Flashed a CB with 1/7 bite at 76-77 and a swing-and-miss changeup at 80-82. Limited Bergen Catholic to 1 hit in 7 innings, fanned 6 and walked one. Smooth, composed delivery into an athletic balance point. Uphill shoulder on front foot landing - effortless high-¾ loose arm action.

Ramsey has a strong and athletic frame at 6-foot, 185-pounds. Starts on the middle of the rubber with his feet apart, facing the plate. Long, loose, clean arm action. High 3/4 arm slot. Rhythm and tempo. Repeatable delivery. Engages his backside efficiently and rides it down the mound. Slight uphill shoulder tilt. Strong brace leg. Stride direction in line. Fastball sat 86-88 MPH and touched 89 MPH. FB was located to all parts of the zone. Curveball showed big 1/7 shape at 72-73 MPH, created many swings and misses. Changeup displayed run and sharp late fade at 79-81 MPH.

Maryland recruit. Ramsey has a lanky-athletic and projectable frame at 6-feet 180-pounds with loose, wiry limbs. Fastball topped at 88 MPH and sat mostly 85-88 with late, effortless life. Curveball had sharp 1/7 break at 71-73 for strikes. Changeup had some armside run at 78-79. Tall, fall type pitcher with a firm balance leg. Slight uphill in shoulders has he goes down the mound with a firm, athletic balance point. Creates extension over lead leg on release. One of the top 2019s in NJ.
