Offensively- Starts in a relaxed, upright stance with an even base and the bat resting on his shoulder. Hands move down and back on load, uses a moderate leg kick for timing. Dips into his back leg during his load. Hands stay tight to the body, allowing the bat to get to and through the zone quickly. Natural loft in the swing paired with the high finish generates many hard hit balls in the air. Max exit velo of 91 MPH.
Defensively- Starts in an athletic position and uses long, fluid strides to attack the ball downhill. Body stays low on approach and he plays with natural timing, fielding the ball in the middle of his body and funneling fluidly to the chest. Shuffles to get his feet set before making the throw with a moderate arm swing and a ¾ arm slot. 85 MPH arm strength and athletic actions suggest he's capable of sticking at short.
