Ryan has an athletic build at 5-foot-10 165-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.20-seconds; exit velocity topped at 77 MPH. Offensively- starts in a neutral stance with hands below shoulder line and in front of chest. Creates rhythm in hands and upper body prepitch. As pitch comes in, uses a small leg kick and a foot stride to start swing. Hands load straight back. Defensively- from the outfield, throws topped at 82 MPH. High-3/4 slot with a short quick arm. Fields ball out in front and plays through throws to target. PItching- Fastball topped at 81 MPH, sat 77-79 MPH from a true-3/4 slot. Flashed a curveball with 11/5 depth at 74-75 MPH with smaller, sharper action. Up tempo delivery into a low, athletic balance point. Drop-and-drive from balance point to front foot landing. Square, balanced landing point, shoulders are level and head is straight upon landing as well. Strong lower half helps him power down the mound. Creates extension over front side on release. Ball had some armside run.
