NYU recruit. DiBartolomeo has a strong and broad-shouldered frame at 5-foot-10, 210-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.53 seconds. Recorded an exit velo of 96 MPH, one of the tops at the event. The physical righty starts at the plate in an open stance with his feet close together. Hands begin below shoulder, away from the body. Big, hanging leg kick. Hands move directly backwards with a slight bat wrap. Displayed gap-to-gap power. Swings with controlled aggression. Defensively, took reps behind the plate. Positional velo of 75 MPH. Makes his transfer at the point where he receives the ball. Keeps his feet in line with his target. Recorded pop times ranging from 1.96-2.07 seconds. 

Futures Preview (6/4/16)
DiBartolomeo stands 5-foot-10 190-pounds and is a primary catcher. Although still developing into his body, DiBartolomeo is already strong for his age as was evidenced by his stellar batting practice, which was one of the top BP rounds of the showcase. DiBartolomeo shows exceptional gap-to-gap power, and hit several that one hopped the fence, and one ball for a BP home run. Hitting- Exit Velo 78, DiBartolomeo stands with his back knee loaded and front leg straight, preloads body weight before pitch. Uses a very short stride, and generates most of his power from explosive hip drive. Has a tendency to drop back shoulder slightly. Fielding- INF: choppy feet, is a corner infielder. Shows average hand speed and exchange is clean. Throws from high 3/4 arm slot straight from the ear. Catching- Shows quick feet and clean, high exchange that goes straight to the ear. Receives the baseball with soft hands and has an advanced for his age on feel for how to catch and frame pitches correctly. Pop time 2.03, 69 MPH catching velo to 2B.
