Wesley College recruit. Timmy Chew has a lean and athletic build at 5-foot-6, 133-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.90 seconds. Recorded an exit velo of 72 MPH. Starts in an athletic stance with his knees bent. Hands begin below shoulder height away from the body. Creates pre-pitch rhythm. Uses a big toe tap. Hands move down and back during his load. Keeps his hands inside the ball with his short, compact swing creating hard contact to all fields. Took defensive reps in both the outfield and infield. Recorded a positional velo of 69 MPH from the OF and 64 MPH from the INF. Fields the ball in stride from the outfield, not breaking momentum. Uses a big crow hop before making throws to bases. In the infield, stays low and athletic in his approach. Short, choppy steps before fielding the ball. Showed the ability to get rid of the ball quickly.

Chew has a lanky build standing 5-foot-6, 131 pounds. Recorded the 60 yard dash in 7.67 seconds while logging an exit velocity of 75 MPH. Offensively Chew starts in a tall stance with his feet slightly open. Hands begin above the right shoulder. Hands move out and downward before settling just off the back shoulder in his launch position. Incorporates a toe tap, leg lift to generate torque through his lower half. Shoulders work rotationally through his swing as the barrel works quick through the zone. Defensively logged a velocity of 67 MPH from shortstop. Uses choppy footwork to approach the ball while fielding below eye level prior to using short quick heel-to-heel footwork along with a high ¾ arm slot.

Chew has a smaller, slender build at 5-foot-6 130-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.81 seconds and recorded an exit velocity that topped at 68 MPH. Offensively– starts in a taller, neutral stance with a touch wider than shoulder width apart. Hands above back shoulder. Creates some rhythm in arms and hands prepitch. Uses a leg lift to start swing. Numbers will improve as he continues to mature through his high school career. Defensively, throws topped at 64 MPH from SS from a high-3/4 slot. Shows some quickness potential moving laterally as he continues to grow.
