Fernandez has a lean, athletic build at 6-feet 150-pounds. One of the top uncommitted 2019s in the state. Fastball topped at 86 MPH and sat mostly 84-86 with a smooth, athletic arm action. Everything about Fernandez's windup and delivery is fluid. Breaking ball was 75-77 with 11/5 tilt and a changeup showed some armside fade as well. Fernandez has some projection and plenty of room to fill out, but his arm works. Mechanics are sound and landing is firm and athletic.

Fernandez has a medium build with a lanky body and room to fill out. Fastball topped at 83 mph, sat mostly 81-83. Flashed a change with armside sink for strikes at 68-70 - also showed a breaking ball at 70-72. Smooth, repeatable delivery, only throws from the stretch. Minimal effort and velocity as it comes out of hand. Shows a controlled finish with great extension over front side. Loose, elastic type of body. High-3/4 slot with a free and loose arm. Interesting looking prospect to follow.
