5-foot-11 and 135-pound right-handed pitching prospect. Black has nice rhythm to a compact delivery. Rolls into a hip load out of a belt high lift. Creates some deception with counter rotation of the upper body and finishing across his body at release. Fastball works out of a low-3/4 slot with regular arm side run while sitting 72-75 MPH. Shows good feel for a slider that sat 64-66 MPH with sweeping action through the zone. Also flashed a changeup that shows cutting action at 65-66 MPH. Two-way prospect. A right-handed hitter that starts in a taller stane. Gets thing going through a knee pinch load. Hands move slightly back to launch prior to accelerating the barrel through the zone on a mostly level path. Natural tools are developing and he should see easy increases in pop as he matures physical. Produced most natural ball flight to the middle of the field. Contact type bat at this stage. In the outfield he plays with fluid feet and soft hands through the ball. Remains under control throughout the fielding process. Arm is long/loose and he should see easy gains in velocity as physical maturation takes its course.
