Braden Williams: LHP/OF, (2024) Buckeye Trail, OH. 5-foot-10, 160-pound. (69.6 mph bat speed average). (22.9 mph hand speed average). Starts in a tall open stance with a smooth rhythmic load, then uses a controlled small leg kick. Has flashed quick bat speed, short level swing plane and level good extension on his finish. He produced loud contact and found multiple barrels. Up the middle base hit approach. Athletic capable from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 75 mph; has sure firm hands, a quick natural exchange, and choppy in control feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Athletic solid on the mound, showed good some arm speed with a long arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive slow-tempo type pitcher and uses decent effort. Displays downhill in line shoulders with a low balance point. Lands square with a falling off finish. Has control around the zone and tailing action with tight movement. (Max spin 1991; Avg 1939). Had glove side control and plus sweeping action on his wipeout curveball. (Max spin 1868; Avg 1788). Shows slight sinking action and down in the zone control on his heavy changeup.
