2/16/20 Position Player
2/16/20 PitchingHit: Starts in a wider setup from the right side. Very smooth loading sequence, getting movements started early. Mostly level path with a balanced combination of strength and speed to hands, both tools ahead of the curve for class. Low line drive flight for the majority of BP.
Power: Top batting practice exit velocity was 81.5 and he reached a top batting practice distance of 218 feet.
Offensive Projection: Middle ceiling.
Field: Worked out at third base. Frame/skill set play in the corners. Direct routes with serviceable ball skills.
Throw: Tossed it across the diamond with 72 mph arm strength.
Defensive Projection: Corner guy.
Delivery Notes: Classic tall/fall delivery with some variations in tempo. Looks like he can repeat the delivery that requires little effort. Ball comes out of a near over the top slot.
Fastball: 72-74 mph, works downhill, showed physical signs of more velocity to come with maturity.
Breaking Ball: 59-61 mph, gradual down action with developing sharpness.
Changeup: 71 mph, maintains arm speed on the offering that looks to be a playable third offering.
