Starts in a balanced quiet stance with a controlled load, then uses a quick stride. Had efficient bat speed, loose uphill swing plane and high finish. Solid from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 78 mph; has sure hands, a natural exchange, and consistent feet. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Used a consistent arm action with a high ¾ slot. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.91. On the mound, using a compact arm action he showed developing arm speed from a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Has slight running action. (Max spin 1961; Avg 1760). His 11/5 curveball shows gradual action. (Max spin 1919; Avg 1846).
