2/16/20 Position Player Hit: Physical presence in the box, standing 6-foot-5/260-pounds. One of the louder/more explosive BPs we saw on the day. Perkins offers advanced strength with more than serviceable bat speed. Like the combination of burst and feel. Also flashed the ability to lift the ball naturally. Solid performance. Power: Top rapsodo exit velocity was 89.8 mph in BP, while top rapsodo distance registered at 323 feet.| Offensive Projection: Middle of lineup.
Field: Frame/skill set play over at first base. Looks like he’s well versed at the position. Takes correct routes and flashed above average ball skills. Also showed a serviceable skill set over at third base. Throw: Showed 74 mph arm strength across the infield. Defensive Projection: 1B.
2/16/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: Easy tempo on the mound to a delivery that requires little effort. Tall and fall loader that gets down the mound well due to long levers. Slight wrist curl in the back before arm accelerates through a high-¾ slot. Fastball: 75-78 mph, works downhill through the zone. Curveball: 61-63 mph, 11/5 plane, pops out of the hand with early/bigger action. Changeup: Solid pitch, creates deception with combination of fastball arm speed and maintaining slot, late sink.
