JR Bemis: 2B/SS, (2025) Dixie, OH. 5-foot-8, 135-pound athletic frame. (62.7 mph bat speed average). (18.1 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a short small leg kick. Bat speed was electric, used an upward swing plane and high finish. Through the round he found lots of barrels with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap aggressive approach. From the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 76 mph. Above average while in the infield, made throws up to 79 mph; showed a quick exchange, consistent soft hands, and smooth consistent feet. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Had a high ¾ slot and a very quick compact arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. Capable on the mound, had a ¾ arm angle and a short loose arm action with quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows decent effort. Has an athletic balance point and even shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Had decent command and running action with heavy movement. (Max spin 1747; Avg 1712).
