Notes

Comments

7/09/19

Body Type: 6-foot-2, 220-pound solid frame.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: More velocity left in the lower half. A quick and smooth high ¾ arm action with natural feel for the mound.

Fastball: 79-83mph. Slight arm side movement with some life to it. Shows potential to locate on both corners of the plate.

Curveball: 64-68mph. Sharp break on a 11/5 plane that serves as a put away pitch but can be thrown in any count. In the zone consistently.

Changeup: 73-75mph. Has arm side drop that keeps hitters off balance. Least utilized pitch.

Pitchability: In the zone consistently.

Additional Comments: Large frame that has good potential.

7/18/17
A 6-foot-1, 195-pound prospect. Offensively, he is a right-handed bat that starts in a balanced setup. Hands stay simple during his leg lift timing mechanism. Path is slightly uphill with some whip through contact. Path is average for his class. Strength is his top tool. Ball comes off his bat when he found the barrel. Was at his best when he worked the middle of the field. On the mound the right-hander has an uptempo delivery that requires some effort. Uses a chest high leg lift prior to his stride. Lands in line to home plate at foot strike with his momentum carrying him slightly towards first base as he finishes. Arm action is shorter with some whip to it. Generates above average arm speed while working in between a ¾ and high-¾ slot. Fastball was mostly true through the zone with occasional arm side run. Spins a 10/4 shaped breaking ball, using near fastball arm speed. Displayed feel for the pitch that showed gradual break. Also flashed a changeup a few times that looks to be playable. The offering showed fade, while using fastball arm speed.
