Nathan Hinkle: OF/LHP, (2024) Normandy, OH. 5-foot-8, 150-pound. Starts in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Has efficient bat speed, simple upward swing plane and high finish. Solid in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 77 mph; showed consistent feet, a natural exchange, and sure hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a high ¾ slot with a consistent arm action. On the mound, showed consistent arm speed, he had a compact arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. Had slight running action. (Max spin 2091; Avg 1998). Shows a 11/5 curveball with slurvey action. (Max spin 1996; Avg 1984).
