Nolan Thomas: SS/RHP, (2024) Madison, OH. 5-foot-11, 150-pound lanky projectable frame. (67.4 mph bat speed average). (20.7 mph hand speed average). Began in a wide athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a small stride. Bat speed was efficient, showed a level swing plane and level finish. Found a few barrels with some loud contact. Up the middle approach. Advanced in the infield, displayed a velocity of 79 mph; showed a fluid natural exchange, consistent feet, and consistent firm hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were raw developing. Used a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot while showing decent accuracy to the base. Smooth on the mound, showed consistent developing arm speed, he had a longer loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Slow-tempo type pitcher and uses easy effort. In his delivery his balance point is tall with even shoulders. Lands open with recoil finish. (Max spin 1878; Avg 1829).
Nolan Thomas: SS/RHP, (2024) Madison, OH. 5-foot-11, 140-pound. In the box, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 85 mph. (58.5 mph bat speed average). (18.3 mph hand speed average). Starts in an athletic quiet stance with a controlled load, then uses a quick stride. Bat speed is quick, has a simple upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 63 mph; has a natural exchange, soft hands, and consistent feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. On the mound, had a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows easy effort. Knuckle (51-54 mph). Threw his fastball 72-73 mph. Had slight running action. (Max spin 1759; Avg 1726). His 11/5 curveball (60-64) has some action. Threw a 11/5 curveball (60-62) with gradual action. Showed fading action and arm side command on his changeup (58-60).
