William Henderlich: RHP/SS, (2023) Madison Highschool, OH. 6-foot, 195-pound. At the plate, Henderlich's 95 mph exit velocity ranks him 3rd at the event. (67.1 mph bat speed average). (22.3 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a quick load, then uses a controlled small leg kick. Bat speed was flashed present, displayed a simple uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid in the infield, his best throw was registered at 77 mph; showed sure hands, a natural exchange, and consistent feet. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Behind the plate, he made strong, efficient throws to second at velocities up to 81 mph; had consistent footwork, firm hands, and a clean transfer. had quick feet and transfers on his throw downs, recording a 1.91-1.99 pop time. Some flexibility and quiet setup. Used a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. On the mound, showing some arm speed he used a loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows easy effort. Threw his fastball 77-79 mph. Showed slight running action. (Max spin 1664; Avg 1636). Shows slight sweeping action on his 11/5 curveball (64-66). (Max spin 1396; Avg 1292). He shows some action on his changeup (68-69). Ran a 4.25 30 yard dash.

Will Henderlich: RHP/C, (2023) Madison, OH. 6-foot, 170-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, Henderlich had an exit velocity of 89 mph. Begins in a balanced stance with a quick smooth load, then uses a toe tap. Bat speed was average, and showed a flat swing plane. Smooth in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 76 mph; had soft hands, athletic smooth footwork, and a clean exchange. Smooth in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 83 mph; shows soft hands, athletic feet, and a clean exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Behind the plate, his best recorded throw to second was clocked at 74 mph; had soft hands, a clean exchange, and smooth footwork. He produced a pop time of 2.01-2.06. Athletic setup with average flexibility. In the 30-yard dash, he clocked a time of 4.08 30 yard dash. On the mound, showed good arm speed with a quick arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows some effort. Has an athletic balance point. Threw his fastball 72-75 mph; shows running action and arm side control. Shows gradual action on his 11/5 curveball (63-64). His changeup (66-67) showed fading action and arm side control.

Delivery Notes:On the mound the righty works with good tempo to a delivery that requires little effort. Arm works through a high-3/4 slot with developing natural tools. Good direction with lower half.
Fastball: Mostly true through the zone. 71-73 mph.
Fastball Spin Rate:1540-1650
Curveball: 11/5 shape with gradual action to it. Expect more sharpness as velo spikes. 57-61 mph.
Curveball Spin Rate: 1620-1810
Changeup: Serviceable third offering with fastball arm speed and some later fading action.
Pitchability: Strike thrower.

Hit: Compact stroke with a balanced combination of strength and speed, both tools with more to come. Stays inside the baseball nicely and can work both sides of the field.
Power: Line drive pop.
Offensive Projection: Multiple roles.

Field: In the infield he plays with good pace and athletic feet. Reacts well off the bat with bounce to his step. plays with a consistent rhythm. Also worked out in the outfield. Although he looks more natural in the infield at least in a workout setting he shows a capable spot out there. Solid defender.
Throw: Clean arm with jump out of the hand and all the physical signs of more in the tank.
Defensive Projection:  Multiple Spots.

Body Type: 5-foot-8, 120-pound thin, athletic frame.
Swing Mechanics: Righty swinger with a fluid, efficient load.
Hit: Nice, level path with a balanced combination of strength and speed to hands. All fields hitter with natural ball flight to the middle of the field.
Power: 71 mph exit velocity.
Run: 5.12 H-1st.
Field: Recorded pop times of 2.19-2.31. Also worked out in the infield where he stood out. Rangy defender that looks sure-handed. Well above average ball skills for class. Very talented, versatile defender.
Throw: 69 mph to second base and 73 mph across the infield.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: ¾ arm slot with a slow, methodical delivery. And Long arm action in the back.
Fastball: 64-66 mph fastball was mostly true with minimal action but did show some promising arm side run at times.
Curveball: Breaking ball hovered around 57 mph with a tumbling type action lacking bite. Pitch showed decent shape.
Pitchability: Adequate command of both his pitches. Fastball was better to the arm side which is common with young prospects.
Role: As a young prospect obviously velocity will be important to determining future role. But developing a changeup will be important as well. Along with refining the breaking to create sharper break and create more deception.
