Zachary (Zak) Kakos: SS/3B, (2022) Strongsville, OH. 5-foot-11, 155-pound athletic frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 86 mph. Began in a balanced stance with a high controlled load, then used a leg kick. Bat speed was average, and had a flat swing plane. Above average in the infield, displayed a velocity of 79 mph; shows soft hands, quick athletic feet, and a quick developing exchange. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball one hand. Arm action was quick. Ran a 4.04 30 yard dash.
Hit: Upright setup from the right side. Athletic stroke that arrives on top of the baseball. Generated all field direction and regular line drive flight. Solid round.
Power: Fast bat with serviceable strength that projects for more as he fills out athletic frame.
Offensive Projection: Top of lineup.
Max BP Exit Velocity: 83mph.
Max BP Distance: 278ft.
Field: Smoother actions in the infield. Plays with a controlled tempo. Ball skills appear to be serviceable.
Throw: Clean arm that will only get stronger.
Defensive Projection: TBD.
