Now 6-foot-1, 210-pounds, McGhee is a strong and stocky corner infielder from the 2017 class with power from the right side. Hits more upright in the box with hands high and back, creates good torque to ball with lift in swing, is geared to pull the ball. Bat speed through the zone with an exit velocity of 87 mph. Defensively, adequate defender with soft hands, clean arm that worked across the diamond at 81 mph. Big physical player who has chance to provide pop at the next level. Being on time and consistent at the plate while staying strong and agile will be key for the uncommited McGhee as he heads into 2017 season.

Strong, husky build at 6-foot,  200-pounds. Showed balance and footwork during the infield portion. Profiles as a third baseman, hands worked with some bounce in lower half, proper actions and made all the plays, was 76 mph across the infield with clean arm action. At the plate, hit from balanced position with minimal movement, slight knee bend, and small stride to load. Showed bat speed with an exit velocity of 87 mph. Made solid contact with slight uppercut in his bat path. Project as a gap to gap player with ability to hit for power. Overall good day for Mcghee who we will see more once we get outside.
