2020 DRAFT:The Wyoming, ON native Noah Meyers is in his first year at South Carolina after 2 years of JUCO at Wabash Valley CC where he manned center field for a team that spent time at the top of the JUCO rankings. Myers is a young junior that turned twenty 20 this past fall. While at Wabash, his tools, instincts and athleticism compared favorably to other college outfielders in the 4-7th round range. Average arm strength with good carry and consistent accuracy. Reads the ball well off the bat with above average range in all directions. Plus runner whose speed plays up with well above average instincts; 55 stolen bases in 55 attempts last season. Offensively, flashed power potential early in his career. The swing morphed into more of a handsy swing, just throwing his hands at the ball without opening his upper half, or using his lower half in his sophomore year. Overall, Myers had Day Two type tools, skills and instincts, yet will likely need to prove his hit tool is for real even though he is currently slashing .409/.569/.574 as the leadoff man last spring for the Warriors. Meyers got 10 starts this spring for the Gamecocks where he hit for a .324 average with a double and 2 triples. The left handed hitter had a .969 OPS in his 37 at bats and had an instant impact in his first season in the SEC. He has shown a plus run tool throughout his career which of course showed up this spring in Columbia where he swiped 7 bases. Overall, a very good combination of tools, athleticism and present performance.

4/11/19:Athletic and projectable at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, Myers is a sophomore center fielder for the No. 1 ranked Junior College in the country. He's young for his class (turned 19 in November) and is signed to play at South Carolina next season. His tools, instincts and athleticism compare favorably to other college outfielders in the 4-7th round range. Average arm strength with good carry and consistent accuracy. In this and previous looks last fall, he has always either hit the cut-off man or made an on-line, easy to handle throw to his target. Reads the ball well off the bat with above average range in all directions. Plus runner whose speed plays up with well above average instincts; 55 stolen bases in 55 attempts this season. Easily stole third base after doubling to lead of the bottom of the first inning, and came around to score on an infield base hit. Offensively, he did not show the same power as last fall when he had greater weight transfer and more use of his lower half. On this latest look, it was a very handsy swing, just throwing his hands at the ball without opening his upper half, or using his lower half...a much different look than last fall when he drove the ball CF to RF. Overall, Myers has Day Two type tools, skills and instincts, yet will likely need to prove his hit tool is for real even though he is currently slashing .409/.569/.574 as the leadoff man this spring. (Seifert)

10/2/18:Displayed athleticism, tools, aptitude and performance from the leadoff spot and center field. Balanced approach with rhythm in the box. Direct path with good extension. Showed easy power to his pull side, leading off the game with a shot to right field.Dropped down a bunt during his next at-bat, running a 3.90 to first base. Confident defender in the outfield, made all the plays. Average arm strength, throws easy. Overall, a very good combination of tools, athleticism and present performance. Should receive draft consideration this June, in addition to high level D1 recruitment this fall.
