The 2021 Howard was solid on the day, running a 7.07 sixty while putting forth a solid round of BP from the right side that had some bat speed through the zone and 83 mph exit velo and worked with an uphill path that had some length to it in the back. Worked with a short arm stroke both from SS and on the mound, he hid the ball well and was more of a drop and drive delivery on the mound with a fastball/curveball combo.

Howard, a 5-foot-8, 150-pound infielder for the Oshawa Legionaires attended EBLO scout day. He started the day running a 7.07 60 yard dash, displaying athleticism in his strides. Later, he displayed a short bat-to-ball oriented approach at the plate, looking to use the infield dirt to his advantage. He moves well in the infield, transfers the ball and gets off 81 mph throws in a hurry. The arm works off the mound short, and up to 78 mph, he'll mix in a slower breaking curveball as well. Howard is a nice player who can provide value in multiple areas.
2.19.18 A young 2021 classman, Ryan Howard had a nice day at the New Year Open showing some tools and projectability. Ran a 7.47-second 60 with regular effort, should continue to get faster as he gets stronger and more athletic through his development. Swings from the right side with a quick toe tap to load, flat bat path. Will need to make adjustments to improve and smoothen out the swing, but does already show some quick hands through the zone and some athleticism in the box. Carries athleticism over into the infield, has an aggressive approach and the arm works cleanly. Fun first look at what Howard has to offer, he will be a 2021 classman definitely worth watching moving forward.
